Check Out 15 Countries in the World That Is Not Yet Affected With COVID-19

Many countries in every continent of the world have been battling with cases of the novel Corona Virus. For some countries like Italy, UK, USA, etc., the number of affected and death cases is on the high, while for other countries it is less severe but highly threatening.

Since the moment Corona Virus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei province in China in December 2019, over 2.8 million cases has been recorded in the world, with 195,218 deaths and 775,986 recoveries as of Friday, 24 April 2020 (evening).

However, few countries in the world are yet to experience any cases of this pandemic virus.

There are countries on the globe without any recorded or confirmed cases of COVID-19, including Comoros, Lesotho, Marshall Islands, Tuvalu, Nauru, Kiribati, Tonga, Solomon Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Samoa, Palau, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Vanuatu, and North Korea.

Out of the 54 countries in Africa, there are two nations without any confirmed cases of the virus- Comoros and Lesotho.

Comoros:

Comoros is an island nation in the Indian Ocean, situated at the northern end of Mozambique Channel off African’s eastern coast. According to Worldometers, the country has a population of about 869,601. Comoros Island location could probably be the reason for the free COVID-19 cases in the country.

Lesotho:

Having a total population of 2,139,162, Lesotho is another African country that shares border with South Africa which has experienced about 4,220 cases.

Tonga, Samoa, Kiribati, Tuvalu, Nauru, Marshall Islands, Solomon Islands, Palau, Federated States of Micronesia, and Vanuatu are located in Oceania continent, while Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and North Korea are found in Asia.

How have these nations managed to stay this long without any cases of the pandemic COVID-19, especially the ones that share a border with countries that have confirmed cases of the virus?

Are they going to maintain this COVID-19 free status till the end of the Virus saga or until a cure is found?
